Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributor and marketer of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has launched Shell Advance AX7 10W-40, a synthetic-blend motorcycle engine oil designed to improve fuel economy and engine protection.The new product was unveiled on Tuesday at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo, Kampala, under the nationwide “Linya Levo” campaign.According to Vivo Energy, the high-performance lubricant is engineered for Uganda’s demanding road conditions, helping riders travel further on every litre of fuel while extending service intervals.Shell Advance AX7 10W-40 delivers up to 7,000 kilometres between oil changes, effectively extending routine servicing to three to four weeks. This offers significant economic benefits for commercial boda-boda riders who depend on their motorcycles for daily income.The oil improves fuel economy by up to three kilometres per litre compared to ordinary mineral oils, reducing daily fuel costs. Its advanced formulation also offers 36 percent greater protection against engine wear by reducing friction, keeps pistons 33 percent cleaner, and provides 29 percent better thermal protection at high temperatures.“At Vivo Energy, we recognise that for many Ugandans, a motorcycle is far more than a machine; it is a business, a livelihood, and a family’s primary source of income,” said Joanita Mukasa Menya, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda.“The ‘Linya Levo’ campaign represents strength, resilience, and the confidence to keep moving forward despite tough economic conditions.
