Auto-pay features help prevent missed payments. Banks benefit from reduced cash-handling needs. The premature exit of CEOs has other causes also — institutional investors’ impatience for faster results, heightened focus on governance of companies facing regulatory or reputation challenges and close monitoring of governance and performance by analysts.The negative impact could also be high — investors perceive it as a risk signal in the path of strategy execution. It affects their trust due to leadership instability. The perceived execution threat is enhanced because of leadership change midstream. Option trading should not be regarded as speculation. The purpose and structure of the position determine whether it is speculative or not. For example, an investor who holds shares of a particular company may buy a Put Option on those shares to protect against a potential decline in their value, or sell a Call Option to generate additional income. It is a strategy of risk management. By contrast, naked options positions and purely directional option trading are generally more speculative in nature.Measures like increasing the contract value may not yield the desired results as the habitual or speculative option traders could simply shift to far out-of-the-money (OTM) options, where the premium requirement is relatively lower, depending on their available capital.FIIs and DIIs have an edge over retail investors in accessing, processing and acting upon price-sensitive information.
