It sounds like the requester has just asked if it's not any bother and OP has one spare that they do a swap. That doesn't really sound like a choosing begger to me, that sounds like someone who, after getting the laptop, realised there was something that might hamper them using it and thought they would ask. It's slightly tactless, but the way I'm reading it is that the requester would not be upset if OP said no. If they were asking for a superior graphics card or something that would be a completely different matter. But they are not.
