The ministry has laid down an interim timetable to ensure that the government decision on the recommended cut-off for the Central Pay Commission is implemented by the end of October. The commission report, presented to the government on June 30. while welcomed by a large section of the central staff, was assailed for what was termed injustice to certain jobs and scales.
