Kalon Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi Receives Audiences with Kyabgon Sakya Gongma and Kyabgon Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, Inspects Institutions and Offices in Dekyiling and RaipurDharamshala: Continuing his official engagements on the second day of his visit to Dehradun, Kalon Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi of the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA, had audiences with Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Trichen Dorje Chang Rinpoche and the 42nd Sakya Trizin, Kyabgon Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, and visited Tibetan governmental and non-governmental organisations and institutions in Dekyiling and Raipur Tsering Dhonden Tibetan settlements on 25 August 2026.In the morning, the Kalon had audiences with Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche and Kyabgon Ratna Vajra Rinpoche at Sakya Dolma Phodrang, where he briefed the Rinpoches on the objectives of his visit to the region. He also sought their blessings for the successful undertakings of the Central Tibetan Administration, while introducing the composition and key priorities of the 17th Kashag, particularly the initiatives of the Department of Religion and Culture under his responsibility.Kyabgon Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche expressed deep concern over the endangerment of the Tibetan language under various circumstances during the interaction. Rinpoche also informed the Kalon about the enthronement ceremony of Kyabgon Avikrita Vajra Rinpoche as the 44th Sakya Trizin, scheduled to be held in November, and asked the Kalon and his department to correspond with Sakya Phuntsok Phodrang regarding any activities related to the ceremony.Kalon Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi Receives Audiences with Kyabgon Sakya Gongma and Kyabgon Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, Inspects Institutions and Offices in Dekyiling and RaipurFollowing the audiences, the Kalon visited the Dekyiling Handicraft Centre, Exile Creations Private Limited, the Men-Tsee-Khang Branch, Tibetan Primary Health Care Centre, the Pre-Primary and Day Schools of the Tibetan Homes Foundation, as well as the offices of the Settlement Chimis (Community Leaders) and Gyakpons (Group Leaders), the Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement, the branch office of the Office of the Auditor General, the Circuit Justice Commission, and the Northern Local Justice Commission.During his interactions with the concerned staff and administrators of the respective institutions and offices, the Kalon expressed his appreciation for their dedication and urged them to continue their services towards the community.Later that day, the Kalon visited Tsering Dhonden Settlement in Nalapani, Raipur, where he received a warm reception from the Camp and Group Leaders, members of the Regional Tibetan Women’s Association, and the settlers.In his public address, the Kalon stated that the foremost responsibility of the 17th Kashag is to uphold the aspirations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and live up to his expectations. He underscored the importance of maintaining the trust and hope of Tibetans inside Tibet in the Tibetan community in exile.
