How do copywriters track hours spent on deep research vs. actual writing?

Wait 5 sec.

Honest question for full-time copywriters here — how do you track time on projects where clients pay hourly, especially on heavy research days? I used to just write down blocks in a notepad, but half the time I'd forget or miscalculate when jumping between competitor analysis, wireframes, and actual drafting. Trying to find a smooth workflow that doesn't disrupt creative flow is honestly exhausting sometimes. Wondering if y'all prefer tracking every single second or if you just estimate based on deliverables. submitted by /u/WillSilent4348 [link] [comments]
