A total of 15 specialised enforcement teams comprising Food Safety Officers and police personnel inspected 32 sweet and savoury manufacturing and retail establishments as part of the coordinated operation. Officials also collected 35 food samples for laboratory testing on suspicion of adulteration.Besides hygiene-related violations, officials found products that did not comply with statutory packaging and labelling requirements.
