My nephew did something like this several years ago. The “1 bedroom and utilities” was a tiny shed like they sell at Home Depot, a light, a fan in the hot Arkansas weather, an outhouse, and an outdoor garden hose. He worked over 16 hours a day on the farm. The “employer” would knock on his thin plywood door in the middle of the night for some stupid reason or another, and he would have to take care of whatever they were asking. I think he quit after several weeks. There were others there who had accepted the same offer of a 1 bedroom and utilities. My nephew said the turnover rate was pretty high there…..I wonder why /s
