Two held for murder of Nepal national in Rajendranagar - The HinduPublished - August 27, 2026 07:29 pm IST - HYDERABADRajendranagar police have apprehended two persons, including a 17-year-old boy, in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old Nepali national in Jana Chaitanya Colony.The accused were identified as Mohammed Sufiyan Sohil Farash, 21, and a 17-year-old child in conflict with the law. Police seized a Honda Activa and the mobile phone of the deceased.The victim, Nagendra Majhi, worked as a cook at a hotel in Attapur and lived with his wife in Jana Chaitanya Phase-I, Rajendranagar. On Monday night, he told his wife, Chandra Budha, that he was stepping out to smoke.When he did not return and his phone was switched off, she searched for him around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and found him lying on the roadside near the under-construction Pranava Villas in Jana Chaitanya Colony. He had suffered a head injury on the left side of his forehead and his mobile phone was missing.Based on her complaint, Rajendranagar police registered a murder case and began an investigation.Police said CCTV footage from various locations, along with technical evidence, helped them reconstruct the movements of the accused.
