(Wikipedia) TSLA stock is having a challenging year. Since the start of 2026, the stock has declined by approximately 19%, despite Tesla reporting a 25% increase in vehicle deliveries and a 26% increase in revenue in the second quarter compared with the same period last year. On the other hand, operating income fell by 57%, mainly due to higher spending on AI and research and development, alongside lower average selling prices for vehicles. Investors are currently watching to see whether the increase in deliveries, progress in robotaxis and investment in AI will eventually improve profitability as well, or whether heavy investment and pricing pressure will continue to weigh on the stock. From a technical perspective, the stock is trading around the $360 area. It is positioned slightly above the 50-day exponential moving average, but remains below the 200-day simple moving average. Will Tesla manage to turn its progress in robotaxis, software and energy into a return to more profitable growth, or will the market continue to focus on margin pressure and investment costs? Time will tell... Important Notice: Colmex Pro Ltd is licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under license number 123/10.
