Two men have been arrested following a police investigation into a series of alleged pickpocketing incidents targeting passengers using Malta’s public transport.The suspects, two Romanian nationals aged 45 and 57, are believed to have been involved in a number of thefts reported by passengers over recent days.Police said their investigation included an analysis of CCTV footage, which eventually led officers to establish that the two suspects could be staying in Gżira.The men were subsequently placed under observation before being arrested.The arrests come amid investigations into multiple reports of pickpocketing involving people travelling on public transport.Both men are expected to be arraigned in court today at around 11am, where they will appear before Magistrate Nadia Helena Vella.More details on the alleged thefts are expected to emerge during court proceedings.•
