DAX — week of August 24 – 28, 2026: LongDAX FuturesEUREX:FDAX1!GekkquantLAST WEEK: "My bid is 26,345–26,320, weekly S1 folded onto the record week's low, for 26,686 first." The bid filled Tuesday and the same session settled through the 26,319 tripwire; the week ran to 25,965 and closed 26,146. Armed and red — that is a loss. Long — Two weeks of selling off the record ended on a mistake: one afternoon below the round number, taken back by the close, higher lows ever since. A purge completing, not a trend starting. The bid is 26,080–26,030 — the shelf Friday built and Monday defended — for 26,498 first, then the old week's high. Filled before Wednesday or not at all; Nvidia and the Fed own the back half. One daily settle under 25,965 and the spring was bait — I fold that same evening. THE BIG PICTURE (weekly) The record left a crowd with an average ticket near 26,515. The week that broke them built the opposite inventory — all that selling averaged out at 26,165. The market reopened between the two: trapped longs overhead waiting to get out even, fresh shorts underneath losing the moment Monday printed above their average. Corridors resolve on whoever panics first — and the side bleeding today is the one that sold the low. THE SWING (daily) The week's high printed in Monday's first hour and never returned; every session settled lower — until Thursday. There the round number broke, 25,965 traded, and the close took the entire break back. Friday's low stood 55 points higher, Monday's higher again. Three rising floors, right where last week's low and the pivot math put the shelf. Sellers got their moment of proof and produced a wick. THE WEEK'S MAP (4H) Upside: 26,231 (weekly pivot — the first gate) → 26,319 (the broken floor — trapped tickets start here) → 26,498 (weekly R1 — first target) → 26,583 (last week's high — the heavy exits, second target) → 26,665 (the record) → 26,849 (weekly R2). Downside: 26,165 (the sell-week's VWAP — the balance line) → 26,088 / 26,020 (Monday's and Friday's lows — the shelf; my bid 26,080–26,030) → 25,965 (last week's low — the spring and the tripwire) → 25,880 (weekly S1) → 25,613 (weekly S2 — a failed spring drains here). One number all week: 25,965 — last week's low, the difference between purge and trend. A break of a round number that cannot close is sellers running out; every low since stands higher, and the reopen above 26,165 means the flush's own money now loses by holding. Cover is fuel — above 25,965 it burns into the trapped inventory, and the bid rides it toward 26,498. One settle below: the spring was theater — flat. THE CATALYSTS (CET) Mon 24 — Nothing on the European tape; a quiet session to fetch the bid. Tue 25 — German ifo 10:00 CET, the only German voice before the fireworks; industry's turn is this rally's spine. Wed 26 — THE day: US core PCE 14:30 CET, Nvidia after the US close — Thursday's open inherits both. Thu 27 — Jackson Hole opens; the morning trades Nvidia's answer first. Fri 28 — The Fed chair keynotes Jackson Hole 16:00 CET; the week's last word is his. BOTTOM LINE Two weeks of selling bought one afternoon under the round number and couldn't keep it — I take the tape at its word. Long from 26,080–26,030, out into the trapped inventory from 26,498 up, ideally before Friday's speeches. A settle under 25,965 ends the argument; a purge turning into a trend is not something I fund. Not advice — trade your own plan.
