The alleged defacement took place on the same day that Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress workers staged a sit-in at Parliament Street police station.The Delhi Police registered an FIR against an Indian Youth Congress worker for allegedly writing slogans against Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the walls of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, sources told The Indian Express.The slogans – “Amit Shah Shame” – were allegedly spray-painted in black near the entrance to the DCP New Delhi office, sources said. Police officers later covered the graffiti with white paint.The accused, identified as Karan, 27, was arrested from Jharkhand on Friday. He was later granted bail and served a notice under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act. He said the registration of the FIR was the first step toward justice.Gandhi had refused to leave until an FIR was registered.
