20 years ago I backpacked in Australia and worked as a farmhand here and there. Got paid 75 dollars a day, if I recall correctly, including board and EVERY kind of food I wanted got bought for me. Admittedly most other people got paid 200 per week, but still. This was 20 years ago, paid to a young woman who had never seen cattle up close and had to be explained everything because I come from super urbanized area. And that later got a documentary, because apparently deals like that were seen as trafficking and exploitation of "vulnerable foreigners". So, fuck no?
