BTC — Preparing for a Short Around $79K–$81KBitcoin / US DollarCOINBASE:BTCUSDCay7monBitcoin is approaching an area where I am preparing for a possible short setup around $79K–$81K. I am not calling an exact top. Momentum is still supportive, so BTC may continue higher before sellers take control. The reason I am preparing in advance is simple: if rejection appears, the move can happen quickly. My first downside area is around $73K. That is where I would look to take profit on part of the short or consider a reload depending on how price behaves. From there, I am watching for a possible bounce back toward roughly $74K–$75K before another deeper move. The larger support area sits around $60K–$64K. If the broader bull structure is still healthy, I want to see Bitcoin defend that region, hold the long-term trend support / 200-week SMA area, and begin working back toward Market Fair Value. For the bullish case to strengthen again, BTC then needs to reclaim Market Fair Value and hold it. If that happens, the next major test becomes the 100-week SMA, with the broader recovery opening the door toward roughly $82K–$85K. So the current roadmap I am preparing for is: $79K–$81K short watch area → $73K first TP / reload → $74K–$75K rebound risk → $60K–$64K major support → higher again if the larger bullish structure remains intact. If BTC begins accepting below $60K–$64K and loses the long-term support structure, then this would no longer look like a healthy correction. That would be trouble for the broader bull run. Prepare first. Execute only when price confirms. Cay7mon I’ll update this analysis if the evidence changes and the forecast no longer holds.
