SITCo Sunday Market Review | Stable Prices, Weakening ParticipatMicro E-mini S&P 500 Index FuturesCME_MINI:MES1!SITCo_SITCo Sunday Market Review | Stable Prices, Weakening Participation Market Regime The market enters the week in a Mixed / Risk-Off-tilted regime. ES is showing better relative strength than NQ, but improving index momentum is not yet being confirmed by participation. Higher Treasury yields, weak semiconductors, rising volatility demand, and deteriorating CVD keep the environment fragile. Risk Posture: Yellow Risk-On, Risk-Off, or Chop? Current classification: Mixed / Risk-Off tilt. This is not a systemic risk-off environment. Credit remains orderly, funding markets are functioning normally, and approximately 70% of S&P 500 stocks remain above their 200-day averages. However, short-term participation has weakened considerably: • 49.40% of S&P 500 stocks are above their 20-day average • 57.76% remain above their 50-day average • 69.52% remain above their 200-day average That is short-term breadth deterioration inside a longer-term structure that has not yet broken. What Happened Treasury yields moved higher across the curve Friday, with the 10-year finishing near 4.74%. TLT remains weak, creating continued pressure on long-duration equities. MES is attempting to stabilize near rising four-hour support. Its RSI has improved from oversold conditions, but CVD remains weak. MNQ remains the weaker index. It is still operating beneath declining resistance with weaker RSI, deteriorating CVD, and continued semiconductor pressure. BTC near $77,000 and ETH near $2,460 also reflect weaker speculative risk appetite. Market Internals Friday produced positive NYSE volume breadth and advance-decline readings, but cumulative TICK finished approximately neutral to negative. More importantly, SPY and RSP are both showing negative CVD divergences. The RSP divergence confirms that the participation problem is not limited to megacap concentration. XLF and several major constituents—including META, AAPL, AMZN, GOOGL, and MSFT—also show price holding better than displayed CVD. The major counterevidence is credit. HYG/LQD remains firm near its recent highs, which argues against calling this a disorderly liquidation. Funding Plumbing EFFR: 3.63% SOFR: 3.63% IORB: 3.65% Fed target range: 3.50%–3.75% EFFR and SOFR remain orderly and near the target-range midpoint. Reserves have declined and the TGA remains elevated, reducing some liquidity cushion, but there is no current repo or funding-market stress. Funding classification: Tightening, not Stress. Leadership ES is demonstrating relative resilience, but NQ and SOX are not confirming. NVDA and SMH RSI have improved, but the semiconductor complex remains fragmented: • SOX remains structurally damaged • NVDA still faces overhead resistance • AMD and MU remain weak • AVGO is stabilizing after a major breakdown TSLA and ORCL show selective strength, but isolated leadership is not the same as broad market health. What Changed? The most important change is the growing difference between price and participation. ES momentum is improving, and Friday’s traditional breadth was positive. However, weakening CVD across SPY, RSP, financials, and major constituents lowers the quality of that rebound. The market is stabilizing, but it has not demonstrated broad accumulation. Tomorrow I’m Watching For bullish repair: • MES above 7,702–7,724 • MNQ reclaiming 29,467–29,542 • SOX reclaiming 11,850–12,000 • RSP and SPY advancing with improving CVD • RTY reclaiming 3,040 • HYG/LQD remaining firm For downside confirmation: • MES losing current four-hour support • MNQ breaking toward 29,000 • RTY losing 3,000 • SOX losing 11,650 • Rising VX combined with weakening credit The key question is whether improving RSI can develop into genuine price and participation confirmation. SITCo Conclusion The market is not broken, but its internal foundation is weakening. Longer-term breadth and credit remain constructive enough to prevent a full Risk-Off classification. Shorter-term breadth, CVD, semiconductors, yields, and volatility argue for caution. Market Regime: Mixed / Risk-Off Tilt Funding Conditions: Tightening, Not Stress Risk Level: Yellow Confidence: 85% Research provides context. Price action and an approved setup determine execution.
