The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has responded to two separate road incidents recorded in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, August 22, 2026.At Fise, personnel from the Amasaman Fire Station attended to a VIP Yutong bus which had collided with a concrete barricade. The impact caused a diesel leak and partially damaged the bus’s bumper, side glass and side door.Firefighters contained the hazard and secured the scene. No casualties were recorded, while the cause of the incident remains under investigation.Later at McCarthy Hill, the Weija Fire Station crew responded to a fire involving a MAN diesel trailer. The fire was brought under control at 8:13 a.m. and completely extinguished at 9:01 a.m.The head section of the trailer was extensively damaged, while the trailer section also suffered partial damage. No casualties were recorded, and investigations are ongoing.
