The sixth installment in the 2026 OwnerView webinar series, held Aug. 25, emphasized the importance of proactive retirement planning for racehorses, increased funding for aftercare and for industry-wide responsibility.The panel featured Stacie Clark, operations consultant for the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance; Billy Koch, managing partner of Little Red Feather Racing and president of CARMA; Jeff Lowe, president and general manager of West Point Thoroughbreds; trainer Graham Motion and Dean Reeves of Reeves Thoroughbred Racing.The conference was hosted by The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and presented by Bessemer Trust, Keeneland and Dean Dorton Equine. The panel was sponsored by Sackatoga Stable and the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association.Three additional Thoroughbred Owner Conference virtual panels are scheduled for 2026.
