Zedan (Flightline), the second-most expensive horse ever sold as a two-year-old at auction, is preparing to head to Churchill Downs to begin his racetrack preparations, according to trainer Bob Baffert.“Zedan is training at the farm and should be in Churchill in a few weeks,” said Baffert by text.The subject of much internet speculation, Zedan was purchased by Amr Zedan at the OBS April sale for $10.5 million, and named for Zedan's father, Dr. Fareed Zedan.In June, Baffert told the TDN that he was taking his time with the colt. “We're just going easy with him,” Baffert said. “There is no rush to get him ready. I think he's going to be more of a fall horse. I'm taking my time with him. He's a big, strong colt and I'm not going to rush him. We haven't breezed him yet. But I know the talent is there. It's pretty obvious.”Now, said Baffert, “he's doing fantastic,” and said that he would expect him to being working in October.
