Krishnanagar SP, Atul V, stated, “A total of 13 people, including suspects from Karnataka and Odisha, have been arrested in the Nakasipara double murder and vehicles used in the crime have been seized.”The two were killed by miscreants on a motorcycle who fired upon their vehicle at the Nakasipara railway gate. After several rounds were fired at the vehicle, the two were dragged out and hacked to death.Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said activists of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) were behind the murder. A criminal named Jubbar Sheikh allegedly plotted the murders from jail. His wife, Fatima Bibi — a TMC member and local panchayat head — was arrested the next day along with her two associates, Ali Mandal and Mithun Sheikh.The SP added, “Ten more people were arrested later.
