The new Venom Enclosed Micro Green Dot maintains the core specifications and design of the existing Venom line while offering a different reticle color option at the same entry price point. The Venom Enclosed Micro Green Dot features a 3 MOA dot housed in a 6061 aluminum enclosure. According to Vortex, the enclosed design blocks out weather, mud, snow, and debris, making it equally viable on a pistol, offset on a carbine, or piggybacked on an LPVO. The optic includes a large viewing window for fast target acquisition and a full sight picture. An aspherical lens is integrated to deliver distortion-free imaging and truer colors across the field of view. The optic incorporates motion activation with a 10-minute auto-shutoff feature to conserve battery life. Brightness adjustments are made via top-mounted buttons for straightforward operation in the field. Vortex states that green dots may offer advantages for certain shooters in particular lighting scenarios or for those with visual profiles that register green more effectively than red against natural or urban backgrounds.
