Malta woke up to yet another blistering hot day this morning… and when you look at a NASA satellite photo over the Mediterranean, it’s pretty easy to see why.“Very fine dust from the Sahara Desert’s sand is being carried north with wind currents, and has arrived all the way to Sicily,” popular Facebook forecasting page Aġġornament tat-Temp wrote last night, showing what the situation from space looks like.“This keeps confirming how strong an African anti-cyclone can be and all this fine sand keeps showing how hot this summer is when compared to the past,” the page continued. “For now, there is no concrete indication that this will die down and it’s currently at its peak.
