GigaMail is an open-source (AGPL-3.0) mail client for Windows and macOS. It connects your AI agent (any MCP client) to your mailbox and calendar. I started it because I didn't trust an AI with my inbox. Works with codex, claude code/cowork, hermes agent, openclaw, any agent you use and it's already in daily use at real estate agencies, a notary's office, nonprofits and indie developers. What it does - Approval gate: reading is free, but sending or deleting waits for you. You approve from the app, the CLI or Telegram, behind Windows Hello or Touch ID, and the agent can't approve its own requests. - Multiple accounts: Microsoft 365 and IMAP. You can merge two inboxes into one list, and each reply still leaves from the right address. - Local archive: every mail and attachment is saved on your machine and stays searchable after the server deletes it. - Memory per sender: tone, topics and history for each contact, plus notes on how things went, so drafts sound like you. - Knowledge files: attach your price lists, terms or product sheets, and drafts take their figures from your own documents. - Calendar-aware drafts: proposed times are always free in your calendar and inside your office hours. - Everything stays local: no server of ours, no account with us, an append-only log of every action. and I just rebuilt the console - Navigation, mail list and main area as separate cards - Light and dark theme, with a pink or blue accent - An agent bar at the bottom: you ask, it drafts - A "Waiting for you" queue, where you can open each decision and see exactly what was sent or rejected Images: old vs new, the four theme/accent combinations, the agent bar, the approval queue. Old console or new one? What would you change first? Repo: https://github.com/adecubed/gigamail submitted by /u/Soft-Lie-434 [link] [comments]
