Jerry Lundergan went to $800,000 to acquire a filly by Uncle Mo (hip 426) from the Heartwood Farm consignment Tuesday at the Fasig-Tipton October sale and, added to the $230,000 Good Magic colt (hip 419) he purchased earlier in the session from Gainesway, the former Kentucky State representative now has three horses in his fledgling racing stable.Lundergan, who did his bidding alongside bloodstock agent Donato Lanni, said both yearlings will be trained by Bob Baffert.“We thought she might bring $350,000 or $400,000,” Lundergan admitted. “I kept bidding because this was Mr. Baffert's favorite filly in the sale. He told me this was the horse.”Hip 426 is out of multiple stakes-placed Velvet Crush (Tapit). She was bred by Christian and Karin Bradeen. The post Lundergan Stretches to $800k for Uncle Mo Filly at Fasig October appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
