I open-sourced KitchenLink: An offline-resilient restaurant OS (SwiftUI + Next.js + Supabase)

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone, I’ve been building **KitchenLink**, a smartphone-first operating system for restaurants, bars, and cafes, and just published it under the MIT license. The goal is to let anyone open and operate a food venue with an iPhone, while keeping guest ordering instantaneous in the browser without installing an app. ### What’s built: * **Native SwiftUI App:** Table management, station views (kitchen/bar/waiter), shift accounting, time clock, and manager PIN authorizations. * **Next.js 14 Guest Web:** Fast QR-code ordering with full legal declaration of all 14 EU allergens and dynamic additives. * **Offline Hub POC:** Local LAN multicast / peer-to-peer fallback when venue internet is unstable. * **Automated Tests:** 57 Swift test suites and 10 Next.js test suites. * **GitHub:** https://github.com/boethius68/KitchenLink If you find food-tech, local-first architectures, or SwiftUI interesting, feel free to check it out or star the repo! Contributions and feedback are warmly welcome. submitted by /u/Joseph6889 [link] [comments]
