I’ve been at my current nurse job for 18 months and with the same patient the entire time. Over the summer we got news that Aveanna has bought us out and we will be merging with them, with the merge being complete in December. Everything is changing. We use Kantime to chart and will be switching EMR, from what I was told by my clinical manager Aveanna is very strict on rules. My company is pretty lenient with everything and I have a great relationship with everyone in my office. Today I had to go to the office to do my skill comps that I just did 4 months ago, but this is “Aveanna’s skill comps” so I had to basically redo it. While I was there I spoke to the care coordinator and my clinical manager who informed me of the change in rules. My main concern being we can no longer chart at home. I was told we’ll get a new tablet to chart on and if that chart isn’t submitted by end of shift, we won’t get paid for that day. And if it’s 48 hours late we’ll be pulled from the schedule. I expressed to them my concerns because my patient is in school with me and constantly stressed, needing consoling, crying, he always requires something of me and there’s days it’s so rough I simply can’t chart much because he’s so hands on. I was told to “focus on time management” and they don’t have any other solutions for me and my coworkers who also need to be able to chart at home. Is this standard practice everywhere for Aveanna? I see so many bad reviews, if I wasn’t so close to my patient and his family I’d start looking for a new job now but I don’t want to leave plus I love the people in the office that I need to communicate with. Does anyone have experience with Aveanna? Should I cut my loses and run or stick it out? submitted by /u/Christ_Enthusiast [link] [comments]
