I built a party game based on a game show i like and a couple days later I had almost a thousand people play my game.

Wait 5 sec.

So there's this game show I regularly watch with a format where you guess video games from a single screenshot and sort them into your timeline based on when the game was released. Whoever collects a set amount of "screenshots" wins. Since I wanted to play it with my friends and had no way to do so, I decided to just build it. We had a lot of fun with it so I thought why not put it online. That was roughly 10 days ago, two reddit posts later and a lot of people sharing the game the daily mode I added has been played way more than I ever thought possible and a few days ago I had a peak of almost 800 players in one day. How it works: you get a screenshot and place the game in your timeline, before, after or in between the ones you already have. Get 10 right before you run out of lives. If you know the name of the game you get an extra life. New puzzle every day, same for everyone, or play with friends via a room link. Free, no account, no ads. Would be glad about any feedback :) Gamelapse – When did this come out? submitted by /u/Badassdinosaur5 [link] [comments]
