Update: you roasted my restaurant ordering app last week. I shipped every suggestion.

Wait 5 sec.

Last week I posted Nomback here, an ordering app for independent restaurants so their regulars stop giving DoorDash 30%. 200k of you showed up and about 100 of you told me what was wrong with it. This is what happened next. Someone said owners won’t type their menu, just paste the Google Maps link. Built it. Paste the link, the form fills itself with the name, phone, hours, address and photo. Someone said half of restaurants already have a website and don’t want an app. Built an order button, one line of code on any site, opens the restaurant’s ordering app on top of their page. nomback.com/order-button-for-restaurant-website Someone caught the headline saying $200 while the math said $300. Both were true, it was worded like a typo. Fixed. The partner signup was losing people between the form and the finish line. Rebuilt it so Google sign-in is the main path. Way more finish now. The pizzeria is still live, still taking orders, the owner still hasn’t texted me a bug in two weeks, which I’m choosing to take as a compliment. Demo, type any restaurant and it builds the app in 10 seconds: nomback.com/?utm_source=sideproject2 Roast round two. What’s still wrong with it? submitted by /u/PolarisXvi [link] [comments]
