I just left inpatient ICU nursing due to health reasons and am starting in outpatient care coordination. There’s some clinic work and a lot of office work. ICU nursing was great because I could use my brain and the people were great to work with. I needed to leave because my body told me so. I loved the adrenaline fueled days that made the shift fly by and to see a change in patients from what I did. I obviously don’t get that now with my new position so I’m looking for things to do that can help fill that void. I’ve tried running, puzzles, painting, and some other crafts to stimulate my brain. I was wondering if anyone else has had this conundrum after leaving bedside and if so what they did to supplement. Sorry if this is silly, I just was hoping to get some perspective from other people. Thanks! submitted by /u/Chartreuse_hooligan [link] [comments]
