I built a site that turns a recording into sheet music

Wait 5 sec.

Dad of three here. Between work and the kids I get a couple of hours at night for the piano, and for years most of that went into pausing YouTube and writing notes down by hand. So I spent those evenings building Amadeo instead. You upload a song, hum into the microphone or paste a YouTube link, and it writes the score: notes, tempo, key and chords. Then you fix what it got wrong, hear it on 35 instruments, slow it down, loop a passage and play along with a MIDI keyboard while it checks each note. Everything runs in the browser, so your recordings never leave your device. It works best with one instrument or a voice recorded clearly; a full band gives you a starting point rather than a finished score. The repertoire, the tuner and the metronome are free. Writing your own scores is Pro, and the first month is $3. I'd really like honest feedback on the first five minutes. And if you have an Android phone, I'm looking for testers for the app before it goes on Google Play. submitted by /u/FPSectus [link] [comments]
