I got tired of how broken job hunting feels, so I built PisteJob

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone! I've been working on something called PisteJob, and I wanted to share it here and get some honest feedback. The idea actually came from my own experience looking for a job. I was spending hours jumping between job boards, seeing the same listings over and over, rewriting my CV for different positions, and sometimes applying to jobs without even knowing if I was a realistic match. And I kept thinking: surely there has to be a better way to do this. So I started building PisteJob. I know there are already plenty of AI resume builders and job-search tools out there, so I wanted to approach things a little differently. Here's what I'm trying to do differently: - Find jobs you wouldn't think to search for. Instead of only searching for the job title you enter, PisteJob analyzes your CV and suggests up to 20 roles your experience could qualify you for. - Explain why a job fits you. Each opportunity gets a match score, but more importantly, you can see what matches your experience, what's missing, and what could be a dealbreaker. - Help you avoid wasting applications. It looks for recent vacancies and flags potentially stale or repeatedly posted listings. - Tailor your CV without making things up. The goal isn't to stuff your resume with keywords or invent skills, but to present your actual experience in a way that's relevant to each position. - Go beyond finding a job. I'm also working on application tracking, interview preparation, and something I'm particularly excited about: generating a personalized interview presentation to help you demonstrate why you're a good candidate. I'm building it with an international audience in mind, including people searching for jobs across Europe, rather than focusing on just one country. I'm not claiming this will magically get anyone hired. I just want to make a frustrating process a little less time-consuming and help people find opportunities they might otherwise miss. I'm building this independently, and there's still plenty I want to improve. If you're curious, here's the project: https://pistejob.com/ I'd really appreciate your feedback, especially on the job-matching concept. If you've been job hunting recently, what part of the process would you most want a tool like this to solve? submitted by /u/aymantj [link] [comments]
