Nurse asked me if I believe in Jesus? Is that some sort of violation?

Wait 5 sec.

Hi there - I just had a colonoscopy today in the Chicago, IL area USA. The nurse who was putting in my IV randomly asked me if I believe in Jesus. Can she even ask me that? I said I didn't, but that I respect others who do. She then said I should believe in him, and said that I should go to church, and that everything happening in the world right now is exactly how Jesus and God said. I feel... weird about this. I feel like that has to be a violation? It was completely unprompted and came out of nowhere. She didn't ask me if I was religious broadly, asking as if she wanted to respect some sort of wishes for the procedure, she specifically asked about Jesus and God and again, proceeded to tell me that I *should* believe in them. I'm not offended, but I found it weird, especially as someone who is in her care, what if she didn't like that? Idk. Do I complain? Thanks also to all nurses :) You guys rule. submitted by /u/johnbaldessorry [link] [comments]
