I lost my job in 2025 and since then I have applied to thousands of jobs . I also lost my health insurance. Since I am an immigrant with a green card, I don't qualify for Medicaid in Missouri. Now I have had significant teeth pain for months. I went to a private dentist was quoted about 2500 in cash for teeth extraction. I don't have it . I can barely pay my rent. I went to Affiniia at Park Ave paps 75 for a prescription of ibuprofen and antibiotics. Was promised a date with an oral surgeon. This was in August. I have called nearly every day since then no one picks. I went to People's health center this week . Same experience. Paid cash told I need to be referred to an oral surgeon at Affiniia. Meanwhile I have been taking Advil and Tylenol daily for months. I feel myself getting sicker everyday. The only thing stopping me from taking the entire bottle and calling it a day is that I actually love my life. I am just so tired of being in so much pain and being unable to afford care.
