Like a lot of people here, I don't just shop at one place. I go between shops comparing prices before I buy. So I built a simple Android app called Scan2Shop to make that easier. You scan a product's barcode, save the price at that shop, and build your shopping list. Next time you're out, you can see how prices compare between shops and what's changed since your last visit. At first I thought about pulling prices from supermarket websites. But most shops either don't have one, or the online prices don't match what's on the shelf. So the app stores everything on your phone, based on the prices you actually see in store. The screen recording above shows how it works. Would anyone actually use this?
