West Bengal will end extended Durga Puja holidays for staff at state-run hospitals from next year and introduce duty rosters to ensure round-the-clock healthcare services, Health Minister Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay said. Staff will be assigned duties from Saptami to Dashami, while doctors and nurses must remain available as required.
