Most demo videos are a screen recording with music. I wanted something closer to a short film, without editing anything by hand. **trailer** is a Claude Code plugin. You run `/trailer:new` in a project and it: - reads your code, seed data and docs (it doesn't run the app) - picks one of 20 story formats that fits the shape of your problem (a courtroom for two records that disagree, a case file for things that silently go missing, and so on) - writes an original script, with a source for every number it uses - rebuilds your app's UI in its own colours and fonts, with a cursor and callouts timed to the narration - renders a 16:9 film, plus a 9:16 short and a 1:1 cut, with captions, music and sound effects - checks its own frames before handing the film over The video above was made by trailer, from trailer's own repo. **Voice:** a natural narrator through Deepgram (your own key), or a free no-narration mode where the script appears as on-screen titles with music. Rendering runs locally, and nothing is uploaded or posted. **Honest caveat:** it's token-heavy, because the agent looks at rendered frames as images to review them. That's why it lets you pick a Quick, Standard or Studio tier up front. Larger companies need a Remotion license. I'd love feedback, especially on which story formats work for your projects. submitted by /u/Dileep289635 [link] [comments]
