View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)Now in its second year, the initiative is spearheaded by Salvo Grima Group in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS), bringing employees and companies together to encourage blood donation. This year’s turnout represents a sizeable increase from the 55 donors who participated in 2025, as organisers seek to grow the initiative annually. With a single blood donation potentially helping up to three people, organisers said the drive is intended both to support Malta’s blood supply and encourage more people to become regular donors. This year’s initiative was co-sponsored and co-organised by AMSM – Alf Mizzi & Sons Marketing Group, A.M. Mangion Group, BNF Bank, Hili Ventures, MMGH Ltd, M&Z plc and Vivian Corporation, while Burmarrad Group participated in the drive.Organisers also thanked the NBTS team and singled out Caroline Cassar for her work coordinating the initiative over the past six months.Plans are already being made for Heartbeat Drive 2027, with more Maltese businesses being encouraged to join and get their employees involved.Would you donate blood if your workplace organised a drive like this?•
