Hi all, up until relatively recently I was working in the finance industry, which I absolutely loathed, and ultimately had to work away from for the sake of my mental health. I’m sitting in limbo at the moment trying to work out what to do with my life, and nursing is something my mind keeps drawing back to. So, I have some questions, and would be grateful if anyone has the time for them. What do you wish you had known before you started studying, and working, in nursing? Were you able to work and study, and if so, how did you find it/navigate the two and the financial toll? How did you navigate the anxiety of enrolling? (Australia specific, if possible) What courses / institutes would be the best recommended to get started? When you started working, what took you by surprise (good and bad), and what do you feel your education left you unprepared for? What branch/field of nursing did you choose, and why? submitted by /u/ftminaus [link] [comments]
