The problem: I played Pokémon GO for a month when it launched, then stopped. Coming back years later, I had hundreds of Pokémon and no idea which deserved my stardust. Every guide was a tier list of Pokémon I didn't own, written for people who never left. What I built: "Dustwise", an iPhone app for returning and new players: - Scans your box on-device while you swipe through appraisals (screen broadcast, a recording, or screenshots). Nothing is uploaded. - Grades every Pokémon SSS to F for raids, Max Battles and PvP, judged as what it evolves into, with the reason in plain English - An AI advisor (Claude) you can ask "what should I power up first?". It answers from your collection and gets a summary of your box, never screenshots. - A raid plan built from your own counters Stack: SwiftUI; scanning and grading run on the phone; a small relay for the AI; a static waitlist site on Cloudflare with a bot-checked signup. Where it is: free TestFlight beta opening soon. Waitlist: https://dustwise.app/?ref=reddit-sideproject I'd love feedback on: 1. Does the landing page make it clear what it does in 5 seconds? 2. If you've returned to a game after years, what made it hard to get back in? submitted by /u/gsj09 [link] [comments]
