So, I was part of a Telegram group where everyone was an online friend of mine. I’d known these people for about a year, and the group had become a familiar place for me to hang out and talk to my friends. The admin was a guy who had feelings for me. Things between us never really went anywhere because I didn’t feel the same way about him, at least not to the extent he wanted me to. I also had other male friends, and I think that bothered him. Eventually, he got into a relationship with someone else. I guess he expected me to react or get jealous, but I didn’t. I wasn’t upset about him moving on because we were never actually together in the first place. At some point, I deleted our entire chat on both sides, and apparently, that made him angry. Fast-forward to today: I was talking to one of my friends in the group, and while I was literally in the middle of typing a message, the admin kicked me out of the group. Just like that. No warning, no explanation, nothing. I’ve known these people for a year, and now I’m suddenly out of a group that was part of my online social life, all because the admin seems to have taken my lack of romantic interest personally. Honestly, I find the whole situation frustrating and immature. He was free to move on and get into a relationship, and I never tried to stop him. But apparently, not being jealous wasn’t enough, either.
