XAU/ GOLDGoldOANDA:XAUUSDMIZtraderI am bearish on gold (XAUUSD) in the long term, mainly due to macroeconomic factors. I believe that if inflation in the US remains elevated, the Federal Reserve may be forced to keep interest rates higher for longer than the market expects. This could lead to higher bond yields and a stronger US dollar, which typically puts downward pressure on gold prices. Gold does not generate interest or yield, so when real interest rates rise, holding gold becomes less attractive compared to interest-bearing investments. For these reasons, I expect a potential long-term decline in gold prices, although short-term rallies may still occur along the way. **This particular trade, however, was a short-term setup**, based on technical analysis and price action. I identified a bearish market structure with lower highs and lower lows and used bearish order blocks to identify a potential SELL entry. The goal of this trade was to capitalize on a short-term decline in gold prices, targeting a **risk-to-reward ratio of approximately 1:5**. Although the trade itself was short-term, it aligned with my broader long-term bearish macroeconomic outlook on gold.
