I got 14 installs for my fitness app. Zero people started a free trial. Here's what I'm learning.

Wait 5 sec.

I recently launched NASQ Fitness, an iPhone app that combines workout planning, workout logging, and meal planning. I started testing Apple Search Ads and got 14 attributed installs from 36 taps for about $9. At first, I thought that was promising. Then I checked the subscription results. Zero free trials. Zero paid subscribers. That made me realize something: getting someone to install an app is completely different from convincing them it's worth paying for. I'm now looking more closely at the onboarding, the first workout experience, and when the Premium screen appears. I'd rather figure out why people leave than keep spending money to bring in more of them. For anyone who's launched a subscription app: what made the biggest difference to your trial conversion rate?
