Gustavo Varela has been superb for Monza this season after they bet on him in the summer with a move from Benfica, and Arsenal is now following him. The striker has been a revelation in Italy since he joined them in the last transfer window, and the 21-year-old will almost certainly not stay at Monza for a long time.He is one of the best in the game now as he has scored 8 goals from seven competitive games for Monza this term, and six have come from six league games. It is still the early part of the season, but he is already showing that he is one of the finest attackers in Italy, and Sport Witness says several top clubs want to sign him.Arsenal’s Interest in VarelaOne of them is Arsenal, who could make an approach for him in the January transfer window as they have opened the door for Viktor Gyokeres to leave in the same window. The Swede has struggled this season, and it could be worse than his first campaign at the club, so they do not have plans to keep him for too long. The report says the Gunners see Varela as his long-term replacement, and they intend to add him to their squad within the next two transfer windows. The striker’s quality is not in question, and his potential is enormous. The competition for his signature will be fierce, but Arsenal’s interest is genuine, and the club could move in January. The Gunners’ need for a reliable striker is clear, and Varela fits the profile. The coming months will show whether a deal can be struck, as the race for his signature heats up. Varela’s future is bright, and a move to a bigger club seems inevitable. The January window will be key._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
