Hey everyone, Quick background: my co-founder and I have been 3D printing for about 15 years and we run a global 3D print-on-demand network for designers and brands. One thing we kept hearing from designers was that the printing is the fun part, and everything after it is the slog: writing product descriptions, shooting and editing photos, figuring out a price, posting to Etsy, then doing it all again for Instagram, TikTok and the rest. So we built Dapilot to handle that part (or at least to give some ideas), and we’ve open sourced it. What it does: you give it an STL (or a 3MF) and it generates the listing copy and description, product pictures and short videos, a pricing suggestion based on material, print time and similar products. Then it posts to Etsy and soon Shopify, Ebay and your social accounts. In practice we go from a model file to a live Etsy listing in about 10-20 minutes. Right now it ships as a Claude plugin. The repo is here: github.com/3DAPI-Inc/dapilot PRs and issues welcome, and if the generated copy or renders look off for your kind of model I’d love to know. The web version: we know a plugin isn’t for everyone, so we’re launching Dapilot on the web very soon. Same workflow, no setup, upload a file and go. If you want early access, send me a DM and I’ll add you to the list. Not trying to sell anything here. The open source version is free and stays free. I’m mostly curious what this community thinks and what you’d want it to do differently as we just started. submitted by /u/Federal-Squirrel-910 to r/3Dprinting [link] [comments]
