Anyone who has come home from a Disney vacation knows the feeling. You’ve got hundreds of Disney PhotoPass pictures sitting in an app, and you swear you’ll turn them into a photo book or put a few in frames. Then life gets busy, the photos stay buried on your phone, and that perfect shot in front of Cinderella Castle never makes it onto the wall. Disney and Shutterfly are trying to fix that.Shutterfly has officially been named the Official Photo Gift Partner of Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. The two companies announced the partnership on October 20, 2026, and part of it starts right away. Guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort can now choose to have their Disney PhotoPass photos show up automatically in their Shutterfly account, ready to become photo books, holiday cards, and other keepsakes. Disney Cruise Line and Aulani guests will get a similar option in early 2027.The partnership also brings a new Disney shopping hub to Shutterfly.com, along with park-inspired collections available only there. With holiday card season starting, the timing could not be better for families still sorting through their vacation photos. How the Disney PhotoPass and Shutterfly Connection WorksThe new feature is opt-in, so nothing happens unless you turn it on. Once you do, your Disney PhotoPass photos automatically appear in your Shutterfly account. From there, you can store them, look back at them anytime, or turn them into photo books, cards, gifts, and other personalized items. That removes a step most guests know too well. Disney PhotoPass photographers capture families every day at icons like Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, and Sleeping Beauty Castle, but getting those photos off a phone and into something physical usually takes extra work after the trip. With the sync turned on, the photos are already waiting where you need them.If the connection includes attraction photos, it could also cover fun extras like the new Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin on-ride photo, which adds your score and rank right onto the image. That’s the kind of shot that deserves more than a spot in a camera roll.Credit: Disney What Disney and Shutterfly Are SayingGary Daniels, Senior Vice President of Disney Products & Experiences, said the goal is to help guests hold on to their memories after the trip ends. Working with Shutterfly, he said, “We’re making it easier for guests to bring those memories into their everyday lives.”Shutterfly CEO Emily Whittaker described the partnership as a way to connect the moment a photo is taken with the keepsake that comes later. For a company built around turning photos into physical products, tying directly into Disney PhotoPass is a natural fit.Disney Cruise Line and Aulani Join in 2027Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort guests get the new feature now, but Disney Cruise Line and Aulani guests won’t have to wait long. A similar setup arrives in early 2027 and will also connect to Disney Cruise Line Photo. That’s good news for cruisers, since a Disney Cruise Line sailing is often a once-in-a-lifetime trip for families. Being able to move those photos straight into Shutterfly makes it easier to turn a week at sea into a finished photo book instead of a forgotten folder.Credit: DisneyPerfect Timing for the Holiday SeasonThe announcement lands right as families start thinking about holiday cards, gifts, and ornaments. A Disney vacation photo is an easy choice for this year’s family card, and the Shutterfly sync makes it simpler to get there. There are more holiday photo opportunities coming soon, too. Disney Jollywood Nights returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on November 7, and PhotoPass downloads are included with every ticket. If you’re attending, those festive photos could go straight into your Shutterfly account and onto your holiday cards before the season wraps up.A New Disney Shopping Hub on Shutterfly.comAs part of the partnership, Shutterfly is expanding its relationship with Disney Consumer Products to include new photo-gift categories. A new Disney shopping hub on Shutterfly.com brings everything together in one place, including photo books, cards, home décor, games, ornaments, and other personalized gifts. The biggest addition is a lineup of Disney Parks-inspired collections available only on Shutterfly.com. Walt Disney World designs pull from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disneyland Resort collections feature Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Disney and Shutterfly say more collections celebrating Disney experiences will be added over time.Credit: DisneyNew Character Designs Are Coming TooCharacter options are also expanding, with new products featuring Toy Story, Cars, Mickey & Friends, and Winnie the Pooh. The Pooh designs arrive at a fitting time, since the beloved bear is celebrating his 100th anniversary this year. For fans who love pairing their own vacation photos with favorite characters, these new designs add plenty of ways to personalize a gift or decorate a home. What This Means for Disney GuestsFor families who come home with hundreds of PhotoPass shots, this partnership is a welcome shortcut. Instead of downloading, organizing, and uploading photos one by one, guests can turn on the sync and have everything ready to use.Whether you’re making a holiday card from your latest Walt Disney World trip, building a photo book from a Disneyland weekend, or planning ahead for a Disney Cruise Line sailing in 2027, Shutterfly’s new role as the official photo gift partner of Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line makes it a lot easier to get those memories off your phone and into your everyday life. The post Disney Parks Announce New Partner, Effective Immediately appeared first on Inside the Magic.
