Senior officers from the Election Commission of India conducted a review of the poll preparedness in Manipur. During the review, representatives from all 16 districts presented their election readiness to the delegation. The final electoral rolls revealed an increase in registered women voters compared to men, contributing to a higher gender ratio. Ongoing ethnic violence has led to significant casualties and displacement within the state.
