Quiet! What’s wrong with you?” Trump said to Feinberg when asked about plans to overhaul a public golf course in Washington, D.C. “Are you a sick person? I actually think there’s something wrong with you.”A day later on the White House Front Lawn, Trump berated CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, one of his common targets, when she tried to ask about his decision to waive sanctions on Russia that were part of a bill he signed last month. “You don’t know what you’re talking about,” he told Collins as he waved her off. “You're a low-IQ person, you're a dummy, and you work for CNN.”The president has had multiple clashes with the women of the press corps, notably snapping “Quiet, piggy!” at Bloomberg’s Catherine Lucey last year and telling Weijia Jiang of CBS News she would be “incapable” of “acing” a cognitive test as he claimed he had just done.He has also called Karen Travers of ABC News “very loud,” her colleague Mary Bruce “a terrible person and a terrible reporter,” Katie Rogers of The New York Times “ugly, both inside and out” and asked Nancy Cordes of CBS News: “Are you a stupid person?”The president has also attempted to revoke access to networks and outlets he considers unfriendly to his administration, moving in September to “ban” journalists from CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House grounds. “Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States,” he complained on Truth Social. In fullTrump vs the press: The president has a long history of attacks on the media from personal abuse to billion dollar lawsuitsMore bulletinsThank you for registeringPlease refresh the page or navigate to another page on the site to be automatically logged inPlease refresh your browser to be logged in
