Bitcoin -3.4% joins the risk-off day: $80.6K is the lineBitcoin / U.S. dollarBITSTAMP:BTCUSDForexupgoBitcoin is down about 3.4% today (22 Oct), trading near $81,150 after an intraday low around $80,836. It is moving with the broad risk-off: Nasdaq is ~2% lower on AI-spend worries and oil near $112 Brent is lifting rate expectations. Earlier this week the Tesla–SpaceX merger talk (which would pool ~30K BTC on one balance sheet) gave no lasting lift. What the daily chart shows (BTCUSD, Bitstamp): • Yesterday's close: $84,023 • Today: $84,023 open, $84,294 high, ~$80,836 low so far • 50-day MA: ~$81,778, lost today · 21-day MA: ~$83,075 • 5-day low: $80,595 · 20-day low: $79,694 • 5-day high: $84,843 🐂 Bull case: buyers defend the $80.6K 5-day low and BTC closes back above the 50-day MA (~$81.8K). Then the 21-day MA (~$83.1K) is the next test. 🐻 Bear case: a daily close below $80.6K opens the 20-day low at $79.7K, and stops below $80K probably get taken first. Equal lows around $80.6K and the round $80K are where most stops sit, so expect a reaction there. Hold $80.6K or sweep $80K first? Drop your take 👇 Not financial advice. Manage your risk.
