How bad would it be to leave my new per diem job after 3 months?

Wait 5 sec.

32 yo F. Been a nurse for almost 9 years, med/surg for all of them. I got my MSN in education in 2020 and have been working in the nursing departments for a few schools since 2024. I wanted at least ten years under my belt before I shifted into the nurse educator role more seriously. I’ve burnt out pretty quickly. I went per diem at my original job that I’ve been at for 9 years, and recently just took on another per diem job. However, I now have a potential job opportunity that would allow me to leave bedside altogether. It makes me both happy and sad. Honestly, I loved bedside but the workload is just getting to be impossible. How bad would it be if left my new per diem job so soon? I’m gonna try to stick it out as long as I can, but figured I’d see if anyone has experienced a similar situation. submitted by /u/Katietgirl4949 [link] [comments]
