Landfall is a Swedish studio based in Stockholm, known for games like Content Warning, Haste, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Stick Fight: The Game, and many more.Both studios became friends after meeting at a game developer conference in 2022, instantly kicking it off. After the success of Another Crab’s Treasure and Content Warning, the teams thought that it could be cool to collaborate on a small project together. This idea came to life a couple of months later as part of a game jam.A game jam is a timed event where individuals or teams create a game from scratch within a strict deadline, often following a secret or shared theme. Initially, the theme for the game had been discussed by the devs while sitting in a hot tub in Sweden, a couple of months before heading to South Korea for the jam.The result was PEAK, a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. You play solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, with your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island being to scale the mountain at its center.As we say in Scoutmaster Myres’ guidebook: Never abandon a friend in need. So, we made sure that not only can you play with your fellow XBOX scouts…This release also comes with crossplay! Grab your friends to form a scout troop across multiple platforms, and get climbing to the PEAK. You’ll need to rely on your friends to have any hope of scaling the mountain, which changes every single day. Help each other up ledges, or place ropes and climbing spikes to make the way easier for those who come after.The Mountain Takes no Prisoners! Climb through 4 biomes on your way to the PEAK, each with their own life-threatening obstacles. This release comes with ALL content updates, including additional biomes, cosmetics and features.
